There’s a Story Behind Every Number

FY25 Community Impact Report

Outcomes vs. Impact: What's the Difference?

Outcomes have always been important to us—they give us a snapshot of results and milestones. They serve as a basis for measuring progress, holding ourselves accountable, and showing the tangible reach of our work.

But impact goes deeper.

Impact asks: What does all of this actually mean? It defines actual change, not just activity. It’s the lasting difference our work makes in people’s lives, in communities, and across our programs.

Impact connects data to meaning. Numbers to stories. Progress to purpose. It’s about the real lives behind the numbers, and the difference you helped make possible.

    JANET

When she joined our Celebrating Families group, this mother chose sobriety for herself and her children despite the challenges of substance use in her family. With support, she gained hope, connected to vital resources, and achieved milestones like purchasing a home. Through a relapse prevention plan and ongoing community engagement, she committed fully to recovery—proving that healing extends beyond one person…it strengthens families, communities, and futures.

    VICTORIA

In crisis and repeatedly turned away from care, this young teen was deemed “too hard to handle.” But GRAND didn’t shy away. In the middle of the night, our team mobilized to get her the help she needed. By morning, she had a plan, support, and hope. Instead of detention, she went home with people who believed in her recovery—and for the first time in a long time, she believed, too.

    LESLIE

Three years ago, a woman came to GRAND overwhelmed by grief and anxiety after losing her husband suddenly. Isolated and struggling, even speaking was difficult. With therapy, she gained coping strategies—strength she leaned on when tragedy struck again with the loss of her boyfriend. Supported and resilient, she rebuilt her life, secured stability, and reclaimed her garden as a place of healing. Today, she lives with peace, carrying both love and strength forward.

    KYLE

GRAND’s outreach team met a man living on the streets and struggling with substance use. After connecting with him through street outreach, the team offered him a spot in GRAND’s 30-day residential treatment program. He accepted. Six months later, he is sober, employed full-time at a GRAND Urgent Recovery Center, and helping others who are now walking the same path he once did.

2026 and Beyond

As we look ahead, FY26 promises to be a landmark chapter for GRAND. We’re setting our sights high, building on our commitment to transform mental healthcare and continue leading with innovation and compassion. Reflecting back on our “To Improve Life” mission, we remain steadfast in our goal of making a meaningful difference in every community we serve.
