GRAND Mental Health Awarded CCBHC Expansion for 12 Additional Oklahoma Counties

TULSA, Okla. [July 8, 2026] – GRAND Mental Health is expanding its Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) contract, extending services into 12 additional counties across northwest and central Oklahoma.

Earlier this year, the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) issued a competitive Request for Proposal seeking experienced CCBHC providers to assume operations in four state-operated service areas. Following that process, GRAND Mental Health was selected to provide CCBHC services in Catchment Area 4, which covers Alfalfa, Beaver, Cimarron, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Grant, Harper, Major, Texas, Woods, and Woodward counties. The transition will occur through a phased implementation process in partnership with ODMHSAS to help ensure continuity of care for clients, families, employees and community partners. With the addition of these new counties, GRAND now serves 25 counties across Oklahoma — 33% of all counties statewide.

“GRAND was built by serving rural Oklahoma communities, and today we’re taking that mission even further,” said Josh Cantwell, CEO of GRAND Mental Health. ” Expanding into these 12 counties means more Oklahomans – including families, farmers, ranchers, veterans, students, first responders and older adults -will have access to comprehensive behavioral health care close to home. We are grateful to ODMHSAS for the confidence they have placed in GRAND and for the strong foundation their employees have built in these communities. We look forward to working alongside the department and local partners to ensure a seamless transition while expanding access to coordinated, quality care.”

CCBHCs are designed to provide comprehensive, synchronized behavioral health care. The model integrates mental health, substance use treatment, crisis services, primary care coordination and community supports to improve access and outcomes, particularly in rural and underserved communities. In addition to this expansion, GRAND serves 13 counties as a CCBHC provider across northeast and north central Oklahoma. The expansion reflects GRAND Mental Health’s continued commitment to improving access to behavioral health services across Oklahoma through innovative, community-based care.
