GRAND Mental Health Hosts Podcast Tackling Taboo Mental Health Topics

Tulsa, OKLA. [Sept. 30, 2025] — GRAND Mental Health has launched a podcast that addresses typically taboo mental health topics through conversations with experts and industry leaders. We Don’t Talk About That creates space for candid discussions that break stigma and open the door to needed dialogue.

“There’s always been a taboo or stigma around having honest conversations about mental health, but acknowledging that opens the door to those conversations,” the podcast description notes. “By confronting these challenges head-on, we pave the way for breakthroughs in thinking — and in our industry, that means breakthroughs in treatment, for clients and for communities.”

Episodes cover topics such as mental health during the holidays, the intersection of policing and mental health, and mental health and communities of faith. In a recent episode, Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols spoke candidly about his personal experiences with trauma, self-doubt and what it takes to move forward.

The most recent episode, After Infidelity: Surviving Betrayal (the first in a two-part series) features Dr. Cheri Timko in a conversation about infidelity and its impact on mental health, ranging from trauma and broken trust to major life transitions.

This effort by GRAND Mental Health pushes the boundaries of mental health dialogue and inspires open, honest conversations that many can relate to.

Podcast episodes are released regularly and are available on all major podcast platforms, and YouTube.
